A recall notice is a fact recorded by a government department on a date. It is not a rating of a brand, not a statement that a product is currently on a shelf, and not a prediction about any company.
Two things about this data, stated plainly because the pages would otherwise be misleading:
18,179 of 34,113 notices carry no recall class at all. They are shown as "Class not stated" and they are included in every other count on the site. A missing class means the field is blank in the published data — it does not mean low risk.
The class vocabulary changed. Older notices use Type I, II and III; newer ones use Class 1, 2 and 3. They are the same three-level scheme under two names, so this site shows them together as Class 1, 2 and 3 rather than inventing a distinction the published data does not make.
Where a notice gives advice, this site quotes it and links the notice. That advice is the department's, not this site's, and it is not medical or safety advice from this site.

About this record
Every recall notice published by Health Canada: the product, the issue recorded against it, the class assigned, and the official notice itself. A record of what was published, on the date it was published.
What this site is not. It is a copy of an official record. It is not a judgement about any business, building or person, and it is not advice. If the record is wrong, the source above is where it is corrected.
