| What you should do | Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Heartwarming Hugs Bear and return it to a local Build‑A‑Bear Workshop store to receive: a refund in the form of a gift card for the original purchase price redeemable toward any available Make-Your-Own furry friend and any other available merchandise, or with their purchase receipt, a refund to their original form of payment of the original purchase price. If a consumer is unable to return their Heartwarming Hugs Bear to a local store, they can visit www.buildabear.com/recalls for more information or call Build-A-Bear to receive a free return label to return the recalled bear to receive a refund in the form of original payment. For more information, consumers can contact Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc by telephone at 1-844-541-0144, Mon-Sat 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CST) and Sun 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST) or visit the company website https://www.buildabear.com/contact-us.html and click on “Recall” at the bottom of the page or online at https://www.buildabear.com/recalls.Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc.Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.This recall is also posted on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls website.
